Summer vacation may be quickly coming to an end for us here in the South, but there are plenty of other areas that still are squeezing in family fun and travel adventures. When you are on the fly, and visiting a new city, there is nothing worse than not knowing where to find good food. Sometimes, you need an insider to tell you where to go, so I’m here to help. I joined a bunch of other foodies all around the US, UK and Canada to feature a restaurant roundup of Our Favorite Places to Eat!
Personally, I’m all about scoping out a local diner or family owned restaurant, but when you are in a strange town, sometimes the best choices are not that obvious. I’m glad I now have a list of delicious restaurants to pick from when I am traveling with the family. I mentioned Baby is my adventurous eater, but with Jed, the choices are extremely limited. Not many places serve apple cinnamon cereal bars and drinkable yogurt, but I know he will always eat Napoletana-style wood fired pizza like we get at Ammazza, if I can find it in the area.
But alas, I will struggle no more! Next time I am in Charlotte, I will just give a shout to my girl, Jennifer from MommyB Knows Best, and know I will be getting a great recommendation. Maybe I will even convince her to join me! Her girls are just the cutest!
Anyhoo…back to the restaurant roundup! Heading out for a last minute adventure? Check the areas below and maybe you will find a place that suits your foodie style perfectly.

wow impressive list!
It can be quite a challenge going to a new town and trying local and hoping for the best. Glad you ate there so we know it’s a good choice if we were to ever visit those locations.
My favorite place to eat is Flavour Bastard in Soho London, Its a new opening But they do offer amazing food and I have been going back again and again and having a different meal every time. Everything they make is just amazing.
