Winter, Colds and Flu Be Gone #ReliefIsHere From Vicks DayQuil and NyQuil Severe

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SheSpeaks/Vicks DayQuil/NyQuil Severe. All opinions are 100% mine.

Dear winter. I’m very sorry to have to tell you this, but we need to break up. It’s not you. It’s me. No, wait. It is totally you. Your cold and damp lately, and I’m having a hard time with your random icy blasts. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m cheating on you with my space heater to compensate for your lack of warmth. You’re slowly torturing my family and the kids are caught in the middle. School is cancelled for days at a time from your threats of ice and snow. My hands are dry and cracked and I am stressed out helping the kids with all their e-learning assignments. When the kids finally do go back to school, I know what will be waiting for them there. More treats from you, darn Winter. A classroom full of children with runny noses, coughs, and possibly even the flu thanks to you and your crazy temperature swings. My children will come home from school with those colds and pass it on to me. I have news for you, Winter. I’ll be armed and ready to fight with Vicks DayQuil and NyQuil Severe. Winter, I’m quitting you. Be gone.

When the kids bring home germs from school, I always get sick. Sadly, I never seem to escape with a little case of the sniffles. I end up with a full blown head cold complete with lovely side of respiratory congestion. It happens every time. Mom takes the hit for the team and goes down for the count.

Moms don’t get sick days. We need to always be ready to combat the attack of cold and flu germs. In my pantry you’ll find plenty of peppermint tea, my favorite Chicken and Stars soup, and an emergency box of Puffs tissues. When I’m sick I need my rest. Trust me when I say, you don’t want to meet me in a dark hallway halfway through a restless night of mouth breathing and sleep deprivation. Luckily my medicine cabinet is always stocked with NyQuil Severe to help relieve my worst cough, cold and flu symptoms.
