A Mother’s Day Filled With Love

[ 2 ] May 13, 2012 |

I am truly blessed with a life filled with love and happiness. As my children grow and make homemade gifts in school for holidays, it takes me back to seeing my own handmade treasures still on display in my parent’s home.

This year I was presented with a paper stained glass votive, an herb garden in progress, and cheering hamster card. Yes, you read that right. My heart melted when I received them all. DH swept the sweetness award though by ordering chocolate covered strawberries for me. Sadly, the whole family loves them as well, but sharing wasn’t that bad. :-)

Even though I wasn’t able to spend time with my own mom in Florida, it was a wonderful day.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and moms-to-be everywhere!

My mom also lives in Florida! And I live in PA, so we don’t get to see each other and I do really miss that. I worked on Mothers’ Day, but I still enjoyed the time I had at home with my family. It’s the small moments we get every day that really matter, not the fanfare associated with any particular holiday :D

Agreed, Nicole! The small moments happen every day and sometimes we forget to take stock and enjoy.
