Thanksgiving is almost here. Have you bought all your dinner ingredients and baking supplies yet? This past weekend, I made my trek to the store for all my side dish ingredients. I couldn’t find plain bread cubes in the bakery sections I asked the clerk for help. Funny enough, the bread cubes were on her list to make for the day, and she offered to make some for me right away. I happily thanked her and said I would be back after I gathered all my other groceries. Guess who forgot to go back to the bakery section? Yep! This girl! So today I will be stopping at the store on the way home from the office for unseasoned bread cubes for my favorite Pineapple Stuffing. I sure hope I can find them. If you are in the same boat and headed to the store for side dish ingredients today, check out the second half my 2 part series on Thanksgiving Side Dish Recipes to make your meal complete!
Even though I am only making a full turkey once or twice a year, I still go crazy with side dishes. I think delicious side dishes are the key to a perfect Thanksgiving meal. You can interchange the main dish from turkey to filet and some people may not even notice. Take away the stuffing or the mashed potatoes and you may have a riot on you hands. Now get your pen and paper ready to mark down your favorites! I know I have already pinned a few for Christmas dinner.
