I love a spontaneous picnic in the park. We are very fortunate to have multiple parks that are a quick drive for an afternoon of family fun. Most parks are equipped with multiple shaded tables, facilities and awesome playgrounds for the kids. When we are heading out to play in the park, I am all about stopping at our local sandwich shop and grabbing lunch. This way we can make an afternoon out of the park visit instead of just an hour or two. Then I start to think why just grab sandwiches when I have a ton of Recipes Perfect for a Picnic right at my fingertips from my fellow food blogger friends!

These recipes are perfect for easy packing for a picnic on the go, or can be made to enjoy at your next backyard cookout or barbecue. Which term do you use most often to describe a backyard party where grilling and chilling is most likely involved? I always say paaaar-tay! It’s combines it all into a celebration whether you heat up the grill or not. Just remember to make good food that everyone will be chomping at the bit to eat! Even if it’s just the chips on the side of a sandwich that will never get eaten.
Ironically this week, my #SundaySupper family is also sharing an amazing round up recipes for mega virtual picnic too! I missed the cutoff to join in again. Don’t ask. It’s been a super crazy week at the office. But if you want to see more picnic recipes, head on over to Jane’s blog, Jane’s Adventures in Dinner. She is the hostess with the mostest for this week’s #SundaySupper awesomeness! I am sure you will find tons more recipes to fill in your own picnic basket!
