McCormick® Grill Mates® Sweet & Smoky Spareribs #DibsOnMyRibs

We spend a lot of time cooking on the grill in the summer. I don’t like heating up the house any more than necessary. Lately I have been experimenting with ribs.  Last time I created a marinade by starting with a rub recipe I found online and adding cider vinegar and olive oil.

This time I tried something a little different.

Makes you kinda want to lick the screen doesn’t it?

This time I made ribs to help kick off the the “Dibs on My Ribs” contest from the team of Tyson Fresh Meats, McCormick & Company, Inc., Kraft Foods, Inc., and the National Pork Board. I decided to try my same method to make another marinade, but this time using McCormick® Grill Mates® Sweet & Smoky Rub.

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup McCormick® Grill Mates® Sweet & Smoky Rub
1/4 Cup olive oil
1/4 Cup white or cider vinegar
2 Tablespoons water
Your favorite KRAFT Barbecue Sauce for slathering

Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly
2. Pour marinade over spareribs and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes, turning halfway through to coat completely.
3. Grill over indirect heat on low until cooked through.

4. Move to direct heat, using grill brush, coat with your favorite KRAFT Barbecue Sauce if you want to pump up the flavor even higher. No grill brush, don’t worry. The back of a spoon works just as well. Continue to grill until ribs reach the minimum internal temperature of 165°F. Don’t rush ribs though. Remember…low temps and slow cooking make for more tender/fall off the bone ribs.

This batch of ribs turned out super tasty.  If you fancy yourself a rockin’ grill master and work a little harder at perfecting your ribs than just throwing some sauce on them, then have I got news for YOU!
