It’s Fall y’all!  And with fall comes football season.  Saturdays are split between hanging inside to watch the big game, and outside to enjoy the cooler weather.  Many times on the weekend I don’t feel like cooking a big meal.  It’s easier to use a meal kit or make some tasty finger food to eat while we watch the game.  I used a Kraft Fresh Take Meal Kit to make these mouthwatering Cheddar Jack Cheese and Bacon Sliders and the family was thrilled with the end result.

Yes.  You heard me correctly.  I mixed cheese and bacon into my sliders!  Holy yum!  The Fresh Take Meal Kit is a little tough to find because it looks so similar to a package of Kraft shredded cheese.  You can find it in the same location as the shredded cheese because the meal kits contain cheese.  The meal kit comes with everything you need to pump up the flavor of your protein of choice.

Lean ground beef was my protein of choice for this easy meal.  Sliders are the perfect finger food for us.  The mini burgers are filling enough to satisfy my husband’s hunger, but also work for the smaller appetites of the kids.

Kraft Fresh Take was so easy to use and it packs a ton of flavor.  My family loves bacon and cheese.  I thought I was being all crafty by adding an egg when mixing together the ground beef and the included flavored bread crumb mixture.  Turns out, I didn’t need to add the egg, and there was a recipe for making sliders on the inside of the package.  Chalk that judgement call on making too many meatloaves over the past ten years.

It took only a few minutes to add all the ingredients together.  When I had all the ingredients thoroughly combined, I formed the beef mixture into small patties and placed them on my bacon rack.  I didn’t want to spend time running in and out cooking them on the grill, so I planned to pop my sliders right into the oven to cook.  My oven pulled double duty baking the burgers and some tasty tater tots.  When I was at the store I also picked up some simple bagged salad to serve with our sliders.  Kind of bummed I didn’t remember this printable coupon for $0.99/1 bag Kraft Fresh Take, so I am making sure to share it with you.  You can check out my whole shopping experience in my G+ album here.

As you can see, it’s all about the finger food today my friends.  Weekends are made for relaxing where you can.  There is no shame is using the occasional meal kit to save you some time, so you have some extra to spend with the family.

What’s your favorite satisfying finger food to serve when you don’t feel like cooking a big meal?
