Are you ready for some football???
Wait! Who am I kidding? Not that I don’t love football, but seriously…who else thinks the Super Bowl is all about the food you serve? You and I both know it, and our football loving family members know it too, just no one is admitting it! Well the #SundaySupper team is here to call y’all out on it! We are sharing our favorite Hail Mary recipes for your own game day extravaganza, and I am kicking it off with this warm and bubbly Bacon Double Cheese Burger Dip!
Oh yeah. I went with the BACON! This dip has all the warm gooey flavors of a delicious cheeseburger in a dip that you can eat with your choice of dippers. I went with simple baguette slices for DH, and some low carb baked pita chips for me. After trying the dip on the baguette slices, DH requested the slices be toasted for his next round. I agreed. The dip needs a crunchy dipper like tortilla chips, pita chips, or even celery would work, just something to offset the softer texture of the dip itself.
I like that you can also lighten this dip if you prefer. I used very lean ground beef, light sour cream, and all reduced fat cheeses, and the dip still turned out ooey, gooey, and delicious! Next party we have, I am definitely making this dip again. No football required. 🙂
I found the inspiration for my recipe here via Pinterest, as if this should be a surprise. Hi. My name is Karen, and I’m a pin-aholic. I find most of my inspiration there, and also from all the lovely #SundaySupper food bloggers! You definitely need to see what they are all cooking up in their kitchens this week! So much awesomeness!

Love, love, love anything that has dip in the title. But this one particularly catches my fancy. I am not a big Fritos eater, except in Frito pies but this strikes me as the perfect dip for those scoop-y ones they sell. Can’t wait to try it!

Have made this & what a hit it was at my nephew’s 40th Birthday Party. Now I am going to make it for a wedding shower tomorrow. I noticed that in the instructions that it says to top with remaining bacon pieces but nothing else. What I did was fry bacon bits first, drained them on a paper towel then drained off grease from pan & cooked the hamburger. I mixed bacon in with rest of ingredients saving some to top with. Awesome recipe!!
