I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dunkin’ Donuts. I received product samples to facilitate my In-Home party as well as a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Life as a parent can sometimes be exhausting. You’re on the run, focused on the family, and keeping track of a million details from after school activities to what’s for dinner. Sometimes it’s really nice to just sit back and enjoy a lazy afternoon, sipping coffee and enjoying a few sweet treats with friends. There’s no need for us to meet in a coffee shop when I have #DunkinatHome. I can enjoy my fun Coffee Recipes with Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series Coffee anytime by using my own coffee maker.
This past holiday Monday I hosted a few fellow bloggers for a tasting of the new Dunkin’ Donuts bakery series of coffees. To Kick off the tasting, I prepared a special Hungry Girl recipe Chocolate Cinnamon Coffee Malt featuring Dunkin’ Donuts Cinnamon Coffee Roll ground coffee, the latest addition to the Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series line. I brewed a pot of the coffee in the morning so I could enjoy the aroma while prepping for the party, and of course enjoyed a steamy cup of deliciousness with my morning toast.
To make the Chocolate Cinnamon Coffee Malt, you melt semi-sweet chocolate chips for some decadence in the drink, so I started a batch while the coffee was still warm in the pot. After the chips were melted nicely, I added the other ingredients, whisked everything together, and poured into a large canning jar to cool. You can see more details about the recipe watching the fun Hungry Girl video here.
I mentioned pouring my drink mixture into a large canning jar. I did this for two reasons. First I wanted the coffee to cool, but not force it quickly by adding ice cubes. I didn’t want a watery Chocolate Cinnamon Coffee Malt. Ew. Plus I wanted to be sure the drink was able to be properly mixed when the girls arrived. Chilling the closed jar in the fridge made it easy to shake and pour over ice when everyone was ready for their first taste of the party.
Over the next hour we experimented and tasted a variety of flavors from Dunkin’ Donuts bakery line like the decadent Chocolate Glazed Donut and the equally delicious Jelly Donut. We tasted hot the coffees hot, then tasted over ice to see how the flavor profile of the coffee changed. Everyone enjoyed the mixing and matching of various flavors with alternate flavored creamers. A new favorite ice combination I discovered was the Chocolate Glazed Donut mixed with caramel coconut flavored creamer and served cold over ice. Holy Yum that was delicious!
Everyone had a great time and left a little more caffeinated then when they arrived. Each guest was given their own bag Cinnamon Coffee Roll, fun Dunkin’ Donuts bakery series mug, and of course some homemade baked goods to enjoy with their coffee at home.
