I loved to read growing up. I was a member of the book of the month club. I still have all my old books, and I am proud to say my copies of Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel and Yummers are still in perfect condition. Pretty lucky too, since apparently some of the books are now collectibles. Bonus!
I have great memories of my dad reading with me on weeknights when he got home from work. Now that DH and I have our own children, I am trying to instill the same love of reading in them.
Baby loves to read just like her Mommy. Here we are reading one of her favorites about Junie B. Jones.
I can’t wait until she is old enough to read Judy Blume books. They were always my favorite.
Do girls still read Judy Blume these days? I sure hope so.
If not, maybe I will just read them again by myself. 🙂
Do you take time to read with your kids? Do they have a favorite book or series yet?

Love your new blog…congrats! I’m looking forward to getting to know your “foodie” side.
As for reading, it’s been a big part of both my life and my children’s life. I use a list like this to get ideas for reading levels and exploring book series that I have forgotten:

The third grade teacher in my loves photos like this one! ; )
My daughter is only 15 months, but I love watching her discover books! Now if I could just find mroe time to read myself…
Have a great day!
That is so great that your daughter loves to read and of course, it’s greater that you take the time to read to her. What a wonderful bonding time for both of you. My 2 girls love books, they love Disney , so I have to re read their books 10 million times 🙂 Have a great day!
Oh, yes, we do a lot of reading….every day. At least at bedtime, if not more often.
