I have been doing a ton of holiday baking the last few weeks, and I am not stopping now! This weekend I am going to continue my personal Cookiepalooza by baking with friends and joining Catherine McCord of Weelicious for the Krusteaz Virtual Holiday Baking Party. I bake a ton, but DH is usually also right there in the kitchen with me. We are big fans of pancakes in our house, and when DH doesn’t have all the ingredients to make them from scratch, we reach for the box of Krusteaz Buttermilk pancake mix. Krusteaz also shared a few pancake making tips that I wanted to pass along to you.
- Use Cold Tap Water. Who knew? For fluffy pancakes and tender waffles, use cold tap water (55°F-60°F).
- Make Perfect Pancakes. Get the perfect size pancake every time by using an ice cream scoop to measure batter. A tip so simple, but something I never though about doing.
- Give the gift of Pancakes. Make a Pancake Mix Gift Jar by layering a canning jar with Buttermilk Pancake Mix, chocolate chips, marshmallows and graham cracker crust for a ‘ready to make’ S’more pancake gift. You can get creative and come up with a bajillion combinations!
