Inspiring Independence For Kids In The Kitchen With Campbell’s® Sauces

As a double, working parent household, my husband and I often find ourselves hustling during the week to get dinner on the table in a timely manner. We often look for shortcuts that will still allow us to prepare delicious but fast meal for our family. One of my favorite things to do is have my kids help make dinner. This week Baby turned eleven. I can’t believe she is growing up so fast. I thought it would be fun to give her a packet of Campbell’s® Cheesy Broccoli Chicken Oven Sauce and let her prepare dinner. 

DH diced some fresh, boneless, skinless chicken breast for Baby’s entree. She may be growing up, but I’m still not ready to hand over any big knives to her. First she opened a bag of frozen broccoli and added it to a baking dish.

Next we diced some fresh carrots for some fun color, and added them to the baking dish too. Extra vegetables help stretch the dish even more than normal, so there are leftovers not only for DH to take to work the next day, but me too.

I like being able to combine fresh ingredients to get the entree started and let Campbell’s® Sauces finish the rest. My daughter and husband barely noticed that there eating more vegetables in this dish than chicken. Shhh…that can be our secret.
