People usually take stock of their accomplishments in life when passing milestone birthdays. I am no different. When I was still sharing an apartment with my BFF, right before we were turning 30, we made a pact to quit paying rent. We were going to buy houses. It’s hard to believe with how the market looks today, but in the year 2000 I settled on my very first home.
Up until then I had never itemized my taxes, and completing my annual tax forms was pretty simple. That changed when I bought my townhouse. Being an accounting major in college I thought I could handle all the tax implications of purchasing a house. Yeah. Not so much. 2 complete refilings after the initial one, and I was finally done. From that moment on I vowed to get help with my taxes. I wanted to make sure I got the most out of my return, and possibly not even have to wait for the big payout! Wouldn’t it be nice to get your tax refund now to help with your upcoming holiday shopping?

Have your coupons and promo codes in hand, research pricing
Christmas shopping or pay off some bills! 🙂
Money saving tips: always buy things on sale. Never pay full price and always look for deals or 2 for 1 deals and buy with a friend. 🙂
Bills, bills, bills they never seem to stop. All asking for money!! :o(
Buy secondhand if possible to save money

I would buy me a new camera for my blog! Right now I use my phone. But a new camera is out of my budget. So if I win, I would be a happy camper!
My best money-saving advice for the holidays is to not wait until “holiday season” to begin. Keep generic gift items in stock year round, and collect them year round when you find great prices on them. Same with toys — Target, for example, has toy clearances a few times a year; and sometimes you can even find Target store coupons and/or manufacture coupons to use on top of the clearance prices. It may be a gamble with some items, but at those prices, it’s worth the risk! 🙂
The $300 would be very useful to help me with my business Atlanta Diaper Relief. I would be able to purchase more diapers for families in need and wipes, which we normally never have to give to families. Something like diapers at Christmas may sound like a small thing, but for families who have NOTHING, it’s a big thing.
I would use the money to buy Christmas gifts for my kids.
Gift cards to get a pedicure
I use H&R Block to do my taxes every year! 🙂
I save all my odds and end out of the refridgerator, freeze it, and then make soup. It’s usually all I need..
Simple breakfast, toast with peanut butter and coffee. No need to eat out..

Shopping with manufacturer’s coupons and combining them with store coupons helps save.
I would spend the $500 on formula and diapers for my son, maybe a mani/pedi to treat myself 🙂
The one thing I would like for Christmas is for my house to be finished renovation – but we’re doing it ourselves and my husband is lazy 🙁 hehe
I use the Amazon app while shopping to price compare, also use Google shopping to make sure I’m getting the best deal. Look for promo codes, coupons, everywhere you go! Also cashing in points from sites like MyPoints to get gift cards.

Recently divorced and moved to a cute house with my doggies, but the lawn has stickers and they hurt my puppies paws. I would use the $300 for lawn treatments so they can run and play.
