Holiday Gift Giving Staying Under Budget #PersonalShopper

One of my favorite aspects of he holiday is giving gifts.  I enjoy meandering around the festively decorated stores gathering ideas for everyone in my circle.   Once I have some good ideas, I break them into separate lists of predetermined price points.  My husband is very happy that I do this, so I don’t go overboard and blow the entire Christmas budget on two family members.

I break my lists into price points of Under $15, Under $25, and Under $50.  This year my shopping has been even further simplified by creating catalogs for each price point in Shop Your Way Personal Shopper program profile.  I just pick the name, check the amount I want to spend, go to the specific catalog I created for that amount, and pick a gift from all the ideas I have pinned.  It couldn’t be simpler.

As a Shop Your Way rewards member, I’m able to earn 10 Points (or more) for every $1 I spend on qualified purchases.  That’s a pretty sweet deal.  If you aren’t already familiar with it, the Personal Shopper by SHOP YOUR WAY program is a great way to boost your income and help your friends and family save time and money. You’ll earn 1% commission on all qualifying purchases made by your clients. If you have 20 or more clients who make a purchase you are eligible to earn an additional 1% commission as long as your client uses their SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS membership number when purchasing online or in a store.

I love buying gifts for people that they would not rush out to buy themselves, like this nostalgic cotton candy maker.  No one NEEDS a cotton candy maker in their house.  That’s why it makes the perfect gift!  There are enough boring Christmas sweaters in the world.  Gift the gift of sweet family fun!

I’m also not afraid to think outside the norm.  Headed to a family friend’s house with kids for the holiday?  How about this retro DVD set of 5 Original Holiday TV Classics instead of the usual hostess bottle of wine. It’s definitely something the whole family would enjoy.

So whatever your holiday spending limits, you can make your own shopping easy by creating your own Shop Your Way catalogs too. No one likes to see huge credit cards roll in after the holidays. With a little extra planning and smart purchases, it’s easy to stay within your set budget and still get all your holiday shopping done.

How do you generate ideas for personal and unique gifts for members of your circle?
