This year one of the coolest new features is a live bird show Extreme Parrots, featuring “America’s Got Talent” finalist Clint Carvalho. You won’t want to miss the crazy antics of the vibrant array of exotic birds.

One of our favorite attractions at Stone Mountain Park is the 3-D movie theater with 4-D effects. For Spring Break the theater is sharing a new movie – Rio: The 4-D Experience. The 12 minute 3-D movie with 4-D effects, stars the original Blu and Jewel, the last two macaws on earth. I can’t wait to see what special effect the Stone Mountain staff will be adding to make it feel like you are really in the jungles of Rio.

Visitors may also witness the April Fool’s Magic Show with amazing feats presented by sleight-of-hand expert Matt Baum, and for Easter, things will be hopping at the Character Meet & Greet including the Easter Bunny and Penelope the Parrot, and the soaking suspended rope bridges and net tunnels of Geyser Towers. Plus returning on April 5 is the annual Easter Sunrise Service atop the mountain.

Other new or returning SFB favorites include:

  • * Springtime Tales, inviting families to laugh and clap along with the park’s master storytellers as they spin tales about spring and their adventures during the season (great for ages 2-7, at the Campfire Corner.
  • * May’s Great Garden Games, including the SFB character “May” as she leads games for friends to play. All ages are invited to assist May help her garden to grow at the Dogwood Stage.
  • * After sunset the park ignites the evening sky with the popular Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision®, showing each evening (8:30 p.m.) of Spring FUN Break. State-of-the-art graphics and awe-inspiring effects create multi-dimensional magic on one of the world’s largest outdoor screens – the face of Stone Mountain.
