Fun Tech Time With Mom’s Droid Incredible 4G LTE by HTC #VZWA

When I was asked to participate in the Verizon Ambassador program I was thrilled!  I mentioned before that I am pretty tech challenged, so I was extremely thankful when the Verizon team let us know they would be holding a webinar to share some of the most popular tips and tricks for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE by HTC to us new ambassadors.  I am striving to become more tech savvy so the webinar really helped me get the basics down for the phone, even though it took a little extra coordination to manage the presentation, chat on tweetgrid, and the actual phone.

I spent that evening perusing and downloading apps from Play Store.  To be honest, I was quite surprised at how many there really were.  It kind of made me feel like I was living under a rock.  I also didn’t realize how many I new apps I had downloaded in such a short time since my Droid Incredible comes equipped with 4G.  This phone is crazy fast!  I found some super cool filter apps for photos and of course downloaded my beloved Instagram!

Later that week, I tried out the mobile hot spot feature.  When activated, the Droid Incredible can support up to 10 devices.  This led to quite a giggly situation one evening after dinner as the family was gathered in the living room relaxing.

In four simple taps to the touch screen the hot spot was live, I was good to go and in download mode again.  Using my laptop, I quietly downloaded a few new fun game apps for the kids (Angry Birds Space and Brave Temple Run) onto the tablet.  Baby was flipping between her math apps and suddenly squealed in delight as she noticed the new apps popping up on the screen one right after another.  Of course she had to try each one immediately!  I also took the picture above while the phone was in hot spot mode.  How cool is that?

After downloading so many apps, I had to get them organized. I’m just a little OCD when it comes to being able to find my most used icons quickly.  Don’t make me sweat trying to find my camera or Hootsuite.  That could be scary.  This phone is so easy to categorize the panels. I like to separate all of my apps and widgets from ones I download for the kids.  My children have a tendency to open and play every app on a screen within 5.2 seconds, of course leaving them open to drain the battery. By separating everything by panels, I know exactly where to go to shut them all down when I finally get my phone back (if I even give it up to share in the first place). 🙂

Do you find yourself losing your phone to your kids on occasion?
How do you best organize your phone panels?

Disclosure: I was selected to participate in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador Program. I was provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product. Stay tuned as I continue to share more cool features on Droid Incredible 4G LTE by HTC in the coming months
