Care Packages With Love

Everyone loves getting snail mail whether it be a letter from a far away or a postcard from a friend traveling on vacation. But in my opinion, the best mail delivery has got to be the care package. I remember being in college and receiving monthly care packages from my favorite great Aunt Sophie. Inside, I knew I would always find my favorites like easy squeeze cheese, crackers and my favorite ring noodle cup o soup packets. My aunt was always thoughtful enough to include Giggle cookies for my friends too.

My kids are far from college age, but now that we no longer live 20 minutes away from both sets of grandparents, care packages are becoming a regular occurence in our house. DH will find packages on the front porch after the daily mail delivery and the kids go crazy with excitement!

Nanny and Poppy in Florida graciously sent this latest box of treats. Upon opening the box, Baby and Jed found an assortment of gifts for each of them wrapped in alternate designs of wrapping paper. It’s ok that the wrapping paper was leftover from Christmas. The kids did not even notice.

New tractors!

A new watch!

And of course BUBBLE WRAP!

Speaking of bubble wrap.
Did you know there’s an app for that?

Seriously.

I found an ipad/iphone app that simulates popping the bubbles on bubble wrap. You have the option to pop bubble sizes in small, medium or large. It’s ridiculously fun for the kids and it’s FREE! You can check it out here!

When was the last time you sent someone you loved a little something in the mail?
