As a work outside the home mom, I live for weekends. Most free weekends, I like to be out and about with the family on local adventures, but there are days when just taking it easy and relaxing at home sounds the best.
Last weekend was just that type of weekend. We packed up the crayons, coloring books and bubbles and headed out to the deck. Our deck is right off the kitchen, so if we needed to refill our fruit slushies or grab a snack, no problem.
In the shade of the patio umbrella, we relaxed and enjoyed our time outside as a family. Mommy even got some time to tweet a bit in the #SundaySupper Twitter chat. As the day wound down, we grilled some burgers and hot dogs and enjoyed dinner around the family table still outside.
What a great way to spend a Sunday, if I do say so myself.
