I have been doing a ton of holiday baking the last few weeks, and I am not stopping now! This weekend I am going to continue my personal Cookiepalooza by baking with friends and joining Catherine McCord of Weelicious for the Krusteaz Virtual Holiday Baking Party. This Saturday, December 14th, from 1:00-3:00 PM EST you can tune in for the free webcast from anywhere in the country at www.krusteaz.com/holidays.
I’m excited to be joining in and baking along. As you can see I am well supplied for the baking festivities thanks to Krusteaz. I can’t wait to try making their new Molten Deep Dish cookies. Especially after I experimented last week with an Candy Cane Oreo stuffed peppermint brownie recipe. Krusteaz recently kicked off the “Seize the What If” Facebook Contest. You can enter this contest for your chance to win a kitchen oven makeover! Y’all know I love being #inthekitchen, but I would enjoy it even more with a bigger pantry and increased cabinet space.
To enter the contest, simply select your favorite Krusteaz product, add in three original ingredients and name your unique recipe. All entries are eligible to receive a coupon for free product. Out of all these submissions, 10 finalists will be selected who will win a year’s supply of Krusteaz products. YES! A Year’s supply! Imagine the treats your friends and family would enjoy!
I bake a ton, but DH is usually also right there in the kitchen with me. We are big fans of pancakes in our house, and when DH doesn’t have all the ingredients to make them from scratch, we reach for the box of Krusteaz Buttermilk pancake mix. Krusteaz also shared a few pancake making tips that I wanted to pass along to you.
- Use Cold Tap Water. Who knew? For fluffy pancakes and tender waffles, use cold tap water (55°F-60°F).
- Make Perfect Pancakes. Get the perfect size pancake every time by using an ice cream scoop to measure batter. A tip so simple, but something I never though about doing.
- Give the gift of Pancakes. Make a Pancake Mix Gift Jar by layering a canning jar with Buttermilk Pancake Mix, chocolate chips, marshmallows and graham cracker crust for a ‘ready to make’ S’more pancake gift. You can get creative and come up with a bajillion combinations!
What do you think I should bake on Saturday while participating in the Virtual Holdiay Baking Party with Krusteaz?
