When we made the decision to move back to Pennsylvania my biggest requirement for the new house was to have an open and updated kitchen. I’m a firm believer that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and since it’s the main premise of my blog, a great kitchen in the new house was non-negotiable. Growing up, both my parents cooked. I have so many joyful memories in the kitchen of parents’ home that the kitchen is now my happy place. It’s important that a kitchen suits it’s owner in every way possible. The new GE Café Series Appliances offer inspired aesthetics and impressive power that mimic great restaurants, and is the perfect complement for people like me who love and find happiness being in the kitchen.
People may think that being it the kitchen is hard work. To them I say BOO! Making memories and a few brightly colored cupcakes isn’t work. It’s sheer fun. Teaching my son and daughter to cook will enhance their independence. What mother doesn’t want her children to be self-sufficient when they’re old enough to leave the nest?
It’s important for me to raise my children understanding that time spent together around the family table is important. This includes helping in the kitchen with age appropriate tasks. I wanted to make sure my new kitchen had plenty of room for multiple people to work at a time. But I also realize size isn’t everything in the kitchen. You make room to work with those you love and hold dear. Bumping elbows while learning some classic fish filleting skills is completely acceptable.
The kitchen is a place of pride and accomplishment. GE Café Series Appliances robust industrial design style and innovative features enable users to feel confident experimenting in the kitchen. Go ahead! Roast that first turkey on your own this Thanksgiving. If you use enough butter, hopefully it will turn out as breath taking as my first turkey.
You will breathe a sigh of relief, and your family will beam with the same pride that you do for filling their table with an amazing meal.
GE Café Series Appliances are designed to help meals become masterpieces and offer many innovative features that are made to order. I swear my coffee loving heart skipped a few beats when I saw the new design featuring a A Keurig® K-Cup® Brewing System built right into the door. My dad wouldn’t have to ask me where the coffee filters are every morning when he comes to visit. I’ll just have to make sure to leave plenty of K-Cups on the counter.
GE Appliances have created the documentary series, Our American Kitchen. Each short documentary highlights an American family and shares their unique role their kitchen has in their life. The series exhibits the kitchen as a place in the home filled with comfort and how food equates to love for so many. You can check out some of the #OurAmericanKitchen webisodes here.
