I used to think working Monday through Friday equals weekends free. Well, that thought process works in theory, until you become an adult. Once you grow up, there are errands to run and chores to do, all in short 48 period, before heading back to the office on Monday. Add being a parent on top of regular adult responsibilities, and soon you start dreaming you had super powers. I’m channeling my inner Wonder Woman powers and sharing this Easy Hot Lunch Idea for Kids on the Go with Tyson® Chicken Nuggets.
This lunch idea will come in handy for summer vacation. It’s right around the corner for us. I love that my local Sam’s Club carries Tyson® Chicken Nuggets in a five-pound bag. And of course my favorite little nugget never minds keeping me company on a trip to Sam’s Club. He is a big help selecting the extra snacks and drinks we will need on hand when summer break is here. It takes a village to raise kids these days, and a local Sam’s Club location to feed them.
Kids don’t want to take a break from playing any more than this mom wants to spend an hour in the kitchen making a hot lunch. Tyson® Chicken Nuggets make it super easy to feed your sweet kiddos (and a few of the neighborhood kids) in minutes. I just place some of the frozen nuggets onto a baking sheet and slide them into the oven. I like that they are precooked and heat up toasty and crisp in about 15-20 minutes. Making a hot lunch could not be easier.
I knew the kids wouldn’t want to sit down for lunch, so I assembled the nuggets into small cups for easy grab and go. I filled some extra cups with carrot sticks and grapes to go along with the nuggets. Two hands per kid = a cup in each hand. They could go sit in the grass to eat, or head back to wherever they were playing, before I called them for lunch.
I love our small neighborhood. The kids all play together and wander from house to house. It’s not surprising to get a text from a neighboring mom that she’s feeding my child a snack or a meal. When the kids are at my house, I can feel like Wonder Woman and serve a quick and easy, hot lunch with confidence thanks to a variety of Tyson Products.
Tyson products help me up my neighborhood lunch game like a boss, and I don’t need Wonder Woman’s golden lasso of truth to know everyone enjoyed the nuggets. The kids were all smiles as they danced on their merry way, cups of nuggets in hand. You can see more fun food ideas from Tyson Foods on Pinterest and Tyson Community on YouTube.
