Last Saturday morning, we were able to attend a sneak peek of Disney’s all new movie The Pirate Fairy. The kids were super excited and so was I. I am all for checking out a new Disney movie anytime. Who can resist movie theater popcorn, even at 10 am? Check out our Pirate Fairy Movie Review of 3 pirate swords up! One for each of us that attended.

From the world of Peter Pan comes The Pirate Fairy, a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword against the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. Enjoy the laughter, heart, magic and thrills of The Pirate Fairy.

The Pirate Fairy is being released straight to Blu-ray Combo pak and Digital HD on April 1st, so don’t look for this pixie dust filled tale in the theaters. We were all glued to our seats for the entire 90 minute showing, which I thought flew by super fast. I was very happy to see Jed was just as interested in the movie as Baby was, thanks to the awesome pirate theme. The Pixie Hollow fairies are adorable with their talents all mixed up, and it definitely adds some giggles to see how they react. In the end they all pulled together to save the day and I cried my usual Disney happy tears. Yes, it was that sweet. Don’t judge. Oh, and totally keep your eyes peeled for surprise appearances from Captain James Hook, a cute little crocodile, and even Mr. Smee. You don’t want to miss connecting all the dots back to Peter Pan.
